About the Artist

Jayne is a writer and a visual artist/filmmaker whose work focuses on the stories to be told through different formats. When it comes to storytelling, she tries to incorporate ideas about how the human mind works, and how that can vary from person to person.
In her written work she focuses on the realistic fiction genre, as well as a handful of other genres as she experiments. From fantasy fiction to touches of historical fiction. She dabbles in both prose and script writing, telling stories that feel important.
In her film-making, she works in an observational type of way, focusing on the things in the world that most people don’t pay attention to. She also dabbles in handmade film processes as well as collaging “found footage” to create something more.
She would call herself unconventional in many ways.
She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, achieving a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with Departmental Honors in her Major of Film/Video and has a Minor in Creative Writing.
Currently based in Hudson Valley, New York.
